AALS is
one of ten cooperative public library systems in Texas. The
System covers twenty-one counties surrounding San Antonio and has
forty-five member
libraries working together to serve over 1.9 million
people. AALS receives an annual grant from the Texas State Library and
Archives Commission that includes federal funds from the Institute
of Museum and Library Services. We are located in San Antonio Public
Library, the Major Resource Center (MRC) for the region. The City of
San Antonio acts as the fiscal and personnel agent for the grant.
